What is a serum used for?

Applying a serum before your day and/or night cream boosts their effectiveness, as they are more liquid than a cream and penetrate the skin more easily. This allows you to target a specific need with a dedicated active ingredient. Adopt serums are highly concentrated in active ingredients.

What type of vitamin C is used in my radiance booster serum?

At adopt, we've selected a stabilised vitamin C, which ensures that its high concentration is maintained over time, making a major contribution to the effectiveness of our serum.

In what order should I use my adopt face care products for an optimal routine?

We recommend the following routine: 
1. Cleanser 
2. Serum
3. Eye contour care
4. Cream 
Complete this routine by removing make-up in the evening and using an exfoliating mask once or twice a week.

Can I use the vitamin C serum if I have combination/oily skin?

This serum is perfectly suited to all skin types, including combination to oily skin. This serum has been clinically tested and is non-comedogenic.

Can I use my radiance booster serum before going out in the sun?

There are no contraindications to using this serum before exposure to the sun, but it does not contain SPF and does not provide any protection. In the event of exposure to the sun, we recommend that you use SPF50 sun protection.

Does my radiance booster serum also act as a moisturiser or do I need to top it up with a moisturising product?

This serum has no moisturising action, so it should be combined with the radiance moisturiser or mattifying care depending on your skin type and concerns.

Is it advisable to keep my radiance booster serum in the fridge when it's hot?

It is best stored in a cool place, but does not need to be refrigerated.

My serum has turned yellow. Can I still use it?

The colour of the serum may change over time, but this is not abnormal and in no way affects the quality of the product. It is important to respect the shelf life after opening indicated on the label.

Where are Adopt facial care products made ?
All Adopt skincare products are designed and made in France. (excluding eye patches manufactured in Europe)
Are Adopt skincare products natural ?
We have created a range of effective, natural and sensorial skincare products. All our products contain at least 94% ingredients of natural origin and we have excluded a list of controversial ingredients from our skincare range.
Are Adopt facial care products tested on animals ?
In accordance with regulations, none of our facial products are tested on animals. What's more, our products contain no ingredients of animal origin, making them suitable for vegans.
Are facial care products non-comedogenic ?
All our face products have been tested to ensure they are non-comedogenic.
How do I store my Adopt face care products ?
We recommend that you store our products in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and at room temperature.
How long can I keep my Adopt facials ?
All our face products have a shelf life of 3 years from the date of manufacture.
Once opened, the shelf life is indicated on the back of the product by a logo in the shape of an open jar (6M meaning 6 months). Most of our products can be kept for 6 months after opening.
In what order should I use my Adopt skincare products for an optimal routine ?
The following routine is recommended:

Can I combine the ranges ?
All our ranges can be combined. However, to correct a specific problem, it is preferable to use complete routines, as the products work together for better results.
Can men use the products ?
All the products in our ranges can be used by both men and women.
Have the products been tested for skin tolerance ?
All our products have been tested for tolerance and efficacy under dermatological control by an approved independent laboratory.
Are the products suitable for my sensitive skin ?
The skin compatibility of our products has been evaluated on sensitive skin under dermatological control. However, as an allergic reaction is specific to individual sensitivity, it is always preferable to test products on a small area before use. Only the peeling mask is not recommended for sensitive skin.
How do I choose the most suitable range for my skin?
The facial care ranges are designed to meet specific needs and skin types. The Hydration & Radiance range targets dehydrated and dull skin, for a luminous and fresh complexion. The Purifying & Mattifying range is suitable for combination to oily skin, controlling excess sebum and imperfections for a clearer, shine-free complexion. Finally, the Smoothing & Plumping range helps preserve the skin's youthfulness, providing firmness and plumpness for visibly healthier skin over time.
