How to choose your perfume ?
To find the perfume that suits you best, there are several factors to consider: your personal preferences, the season, and the occasion for which you wish to wear it. At Adopt Parfums, we offer a wide range of fragrances, from fresh and light to intense and sensual.
Do fragrances last all day ?
At Adopt Parfums, we offer long-lasting eau de parfum and eau de toilette fragrances. To intensify the scent, apply the perfume to pulse points such as your wrists, behind your ears or on your neck. Preparing your skin before application also improves the diffusion of the fragrance throughout the day. To do this, discover our complete fragrance ritual, including shower gel, moisturising body lotion, and many other products such as mist, oil, and scrub.
Are your products suitable for all skin types ?
At Adopt, our fragrances are tested on normal skin. Certain products specifically designed for sensitive skin are marked as such on their labels. If you have reactive skin or skin prone to allergies, we recommend that you test the product beforehand by applying a small amount to a limited area of skin before using it fully.
What type of alcohol is used in perfumes ?
At Adopt, we use vegetable alcohol derived from beetroot, which enables us to offer high-quality fragrances. Furthermore, some of our fragrances are vegan, to help you identify them, a note has been added to our website, adopt.com. The alcohol we use is 100% French and denatured, free from phthalates, glycol and methanol, ensuring a more environmentally friendly formulation.
What are Adopt's commitments to your products ?
At Adopt, we are committed to offering high-quality products that are gentle on your skin. Our fragrances are made in France. We are also committed to making perfumery accessible to everyone through fair pricing, without compromising on quality. Finally, we have adopted an eco-design approach, which has enabled us to reduce the carbon footprint of our perfumes by at least 30%. This has been achieved by switching to a different type of alcohol, using a cap made in France from polypropylene, and replacing our pumps with lighter versions manufactured in Italy. At the same time, we continue to use minimalist bottles without excess packaging, with the larger sizes now containing 30% recycled glass. Our perfumes are also formulated without sun filters or colourants. Every day, we work tirelessly to minimise our impact on the environment.
What are the recommended uses for your products ?
In general, it's best to avoid applying perfume directly to the skin before sun exposure. Some ingredients in perfumes, particularly citrus essences, can be photosensitizing and cause stains or irritation when exposed to UV rays.
To enjoy your perfume safely, it's recommended to spray it on your clothes or on areas that won't be exposed to the sun.
