The eco-design of our fragrances
Thanks to this ongoing eco-design approach, we have reduced the carbon footprint of our fragrances by nearly 30%*. And this is just the beginning!
Your favourite fragrances retain their quality thanks to their formula without colourants or sun filters, all in a minimalist bottle, without excess packaging, and always created and manufactured in France.
Discover the improvements we are working on every day to offer you great fragrances with the smallest possible environmental footprint.
*Compared to the previous version, according to a comparative LCA, compliant with ISO14040 and ISO14044 standards and according to the PEF methodology.
See the attached methodology report.

We have voluntarily adopted an eco-design approach in order to reduce the environmental impact of our products while preserving their quality and user experience.
This approach is based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), a scientific method recognised by ISO standards and the European Commission. It enables us to evaluate our products holistically – from raw material extraction to end of life – and identify key areas for improvement.
In concrete terms, we analysed each stage of our fragrances' life cycle. We then worked with our suppliers to develop more sustainable alternatives, before measuring the environmental gains achieved and validating new solutions.
We share the results of this work in a transparent manner and continue this dynamic with a view to continuous improvement. To find out more about the methodology used and the detailed analyses, please consult our methodology report.

A 100% French plant-based alcohol
Until now, we used a mixture of alcohol derived from wheat and beetroot. From now on, the phthalate-, glycol- and methanol-free alcohol contained in our perfumes is produced exclusively from 100% French beetroot.
Why did we make this choice? This change has enabled us to reduce our carbon footprint associated with the production of our alcohol by 20%. The transformation process has been optimised, meaning that all the water contained in the beet is reused in a closed circuit. This limits the amount of water needed to produce our alcohol, while still offering you high-quality fragrances.

A new bonnet manufactured in France
We have also rethought the choice of material for our caps, which are a distinctive feature of our perfumes.
Today, our caps are gradually changing their look to polypropylene, which has a lower environmental impact compared to the previous aluminium version. In fact, the production of our new cap is much less energy-intensive than that of our previous cap, which was originally made of aluminium.
What's more, our caps are manufactured in France, specifically in Brittany, demonstrating our desire to prioritise local supply chains.
Thanks to this change, we have been able to reduce the carbon footprint of our caps tenfold.

A lighter pump manufactured in Italy
We have worked on making our pumps, an essential component of our perfumes, lighter.
They are now lighter and manufactured in Italy by leading experts.
This approach allows us to reduce the carbon footprint of our pumps by nearly 73%, while optimising the use of materials.
Is fully in line with Adopt Parfums' responsible vision.
It is one of the concrete levers of our ‘Innovating for tomorrow’ pillar of commitment, which is at the heart of our environmental policy. By working on the entire life cycle of our products, we reduce their environmental footprint while guaranteeing their quality and the emotion they convey.
This approach is part of a broader commitment to sustainability, biodiversity and respect for expertise.
